The below story was submitted to one of our Thrive team:
Just yesterday my partner came hobbling home with the shopping.. ‘Ive got the shopping but I couldn’t exercise’ .. I was like ‘Why not?’ in my semi criticising voice, slightly joking as he would criticise me.Anyway he came in and told me the story. He had just started his run along the towpath at Roseburn when a big greyhound came running up the embankment. He got a bit of a shock, and took a tumble. The owner of the dog was also a runner and was really apologetic towards my partner and ended walking him to where he needed to get his messages. They had a good chat and have probably ended up friends for life now by the sounds of it. So it just shows good things can come out of a bit of adversity especially when a bit of kindness and empathy is shown...
